How I started Hydroblast Dorset
The person behind the work
I'm Kain, the founder of Hydroblast Dorset. I came to exterior cleaning after working in groundworks, site labouring and plastering. Those trades taught me the value of proper graft, care over the details, and leaving a finish that actually lasts.
I learnt the exterior cleaning side alongside a good friend of mine with more than a decade in the industry, and I now run Hydroblast Dorset on my own. Every job gets the same care: the right method for the surface, no shortcuts, and a finish I'm proud to put my name to.
The name says exactly what the business is about, professional exterior cleaning with real care taken over the workmanship and the reliability. Based in Dorset, I work throughout Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding towns, helping homeowners and businesses restore and look after their outdoor spaces.
The right method for every surface
How I work
A lot of people will pressure wash a drive and leave. I don't work like that. I match the pressure to the surface so nothing gets damaged, clear the dirt and weeds out of the joints, then re-sand where needed so the blocks lock back together.
How I clean a surface is decided before I arrive, from the quote. Some surfaces can pit or mark under too much pressure, so I'll soft wash those instead. If I think the pressure could harm a surface like resin, I'll tell you straight or hold off rather than risk it. I keep my own pressure handbook to double-check the right setting for each job.
That's the difference between restoring a surface and simply hosing it down. I don't rush jobs or cut corners, and I treat every property as if it were my own.
