I cover all of Verwood and the BH31 villages around it, and I travel out to you from my base over in Kinson. It's about 25 minutes west, so Verwood is a regular run for me. Three Legged Cross, Ebenezer, Newtown, Stephen's Castle, Dewlands Common, Potterne, the lot. If you're on the Dorset and Hampshire border out past the heath, I still come to you.
Verwood is a young town and that changes the work. Most of it is modern brick and sprayed render estates rather than old period stone, with block-paved drives that came in with the houses. That's why I lead with render softwash and driveway cleaning here. The render goes green and streaky, the blocks go tired and lose their sand, and both want the right method rather than a blast and a wave goodbye.
Living on the edge of the heath doesn't help either. Verwood Heath, Stephen's Castle Down and Ringwood Forest are right on the doorstep, and all that greenery throws spores at your house. Is it legal to pressure wash my driveway?
Yes, cleaning your own driveway is fine. The thing to get right is the run-off, so the muck and any treatment don't end up straight in a drain or a watercourse. I weigh up the drainage on every job and gather the muck up to dispose of it properly rather than just hosing it away. That's part of doing it the right way, not the quick way.
