Broadstone is a short run from me. I'm based in Kinson, so it's about fifteen minutes up the road, and it's a real local market for me. I cover the whole of it, from Dunyeats and Lower Blandford Road to Clarendon, Springdale, Broadstone Park and the Roman Road village centre, out towards the Merley edge. Whether you're up near Broadstone Golf Club, by the Recreation Ground or down by the Castleman Trailway railway walk, I'll get to you.
What stands out about Broadstone is the drives. It's a leafy, settled part of Poole with a lot of big detached homes, and that means large in-out drives, plenty of them block paved or pattern-imprinted concrete, some resin. The other thing is the trees. Broadstone has a heavy mature canopy and that green corridor along the old railway walk, so a lot of surfaces sit in the shade and stay damp. North-facing drives and patios round here go green fast because of it. That shade is exactly why the moss and algae keep coming back if a drive is only blasted and left.
So I don't just blast and leave. I match the pressure to your surface first, decided off your photos before I turn up, so nothing gets damaged. Block paving and imprinted concrete can take a rotary clean, but resin and anything delicate gets a soft wash instead. Then I clear the muck out of the joints and bag it up properly, and on block paving I re-sand the joints with kiln-dried sand so the blocks lock back together. If you want, I can seal it after to bring the colour up and hold the finish for longer, though plenty of drives are happy with a clean and a re-sand on their own. Every clean comes with a weed-free guarantee of 6 to 12 months, which matters more here than most places given all that shade.
My rates are straight per m², no vague from-prices. Cleaning is £3.50 a metre, re-sanding the joints on block paving is £2 a metre, and an optional seal is £3 a metre. Do you need to use my outside tap?
I bring my own water, so you don't have to worry about that. I turn up with the van packed and the water on board, fill up and weigh up the drainage so we don't end up with puddles everywhere, then crack on. All I need is access to your drive or patio.
Will the pressure damage my block paving or resin drive?
Not the way I do it. Broadstone has a lot of block-paved, imprinted concrete and resin drives, and they each want a different method. I match the pressure to the surface. Block paving and imprinted concrete can take a rotary clean, but resin and anything delicate gets a soft wash instead. I make that call from your photos before I get to the job. If I think a surface can't take it, I'll soft wash it or tell you straight rather than risk it.
